Delivery Information

Delivery Options:

If required, VAC-CON LTD will coordinate the delivery of Goods to the specified delivery address in the Sales Order or another mutually agreed location. We retain the right to determine the optimal delivery method based on factors such as volume, weight, quantity, delivery address, and requested date. Our available delivery options include parcel delivery via Royal Mail, FedEx or similar, VAC-CON Own Vehicle, or Pallet Delivery.

Pallet (Curb Side) Deliveries:

Pallet deliveries can occur within 48 hours of dispatch, with an optional next day service at an additional cost when ordered by 12pm. During peak times, this may vary, but our aim is a Day 1 order and Day 4 delivery at best. For pallet freight deliveries, customers will be contacted post-dispatch to agree on a delivery date. Deliveries are curb-side, with the freight company typically calling an hour before delivery. In case of absence, the driver will wait for approximately 10 minutes and, if necessary, contact VAC-CON LTD for further instructions. Specific time slots (e.g. AM/PM or 9am-11am) and Saturday delivery can be arranged so please contact us to discuss this requirement, this option will not be shown at checkout.

Pallet deliveries are usually specified due to items being of a large, heavy or bulky nature. A curb side delivery means that the goods will be delivered on a wooden pallet to the point closest to your site entrance that is accessible by the truck carrying the goods. We recommend having at least one or two physically able people ready to receive a curb side delivery, to avoid any issues with moving the items on the delivery day. It is the responsibility of the customer to safely move and store goods once delivery has been made. VAC-CON LTD will not be held liable for any amount of damage or theft takes place after the delivery has been made.

VAC-CON Vehicle Delivery:

Dedicated VAC-CON vehicles are available for some local individual deliveries or nationwide transportation of larger loads and/or specific requirements. Delivery charges will be agreed upon during ordering, per load. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Small Parcel Delivery:

Small items are dispatched via Royal Mail, FedEx or similar, working on a Day 1 dispatch and Day 3-4 delivery basis. Tracking information will be provided directly to the nominated delivery email address. Next day delivery is also available when ordered by 12pm.

General Delivery Terms:

Subject to specific delivery service terms, deliveries can take place at any time of the day.

All deliveries must be checked and signed for at the time of delivery. Any damage or discrepancy must be reported on the delivery note. If Goods are to be left without a signature, prior written notice is required, and the customer is responsible for any loss.

Missed Deliveries:

If you or the End Customer miss the specified delivery day, we may:

  • Charge a re-delivery fee of 50% of the original delivery charge.
  • Store or arrange for the storage of Goods, charging for associated costs.
  • After 10 business days, reserve the right to resell the Goods.

Deliveries are made between 8am – 8pm, Monday to Friday. If you have confirmed your delivery date, you must ensure that you are available to accept delivery at any time between 8am – 8pm on the proposed day.

If you have confirmed a delivery slot with a haulier directly but you are unable to accept delivery or know of any reason that may cause you to miss the delivery, you must contact our haulier to make them aware of this no later than 48 hours prior to the delivery date.

If you do not contact our delivery partner to make them aware of this in the required timeframe, and do not accept delivery on the proposed date (due to no fault of VAC-CON LTD or it’s delivery partner), then a re-delivery charge will be applied to the order, and a second delivery attempt may not be made until this charge has been paid in full. If you decide to cancel your order following a failed delivery, then the failed delivery charge will be deducted from the refundable amount.

The failed delivery charge will be subject to the item(s) that are being delivered and will be charged at a cost price, based on the prices charged by the delivering company. We will not add any additional fees to this charge, nor will we deduct or reduce the failed delivery charge.

Partial Deliveries:

We may deliver Sales Orders in instalments, invoiced and paid separately. Each delivery is a separate contract.

Collections:

Goods can be collected from VAC-CON LTD, Main Road, Butterwick, PE22 0JH. The Sales Team will confirm the collection location and time available.

All collections must be booked with the warehouse, allowing sufficient notice for picking and packing. During peak times, drivers may need to wait if other vehicles are being loaded/unloaded.

Sales Orders for collection must be received by 14:00 on the day prior to collection.

Inspection and Acceptance of Goods:

You must inspect the Goods on delivery or collection and report shortages on the delivery date and inform us in writing within 48 hours. You must also report damages in writing within 48 hours, providing details and photographs. Upon agreement, we will arrange for return, inspection, and repair, replacement, or refund.

Limitations on Liability:

We will not be liable if notice is not provided within the specified time frames.

Liability does not apply to normal wear and tear, misuse, negligence, wilful damage, acts of God, or failure to return complete items. Acceptance of returned Goods is contingent upon inspection.

VAC-CON LTD will not, under any circumstance, be held liable for any events that arise as a result of delivery not taking place, being incorrect, or being delayed. Compensation will not be provided in the event of any issue relating to a delivery.

Delivery Restrictions:

Please inform us of any delivery or access restrictions at least 48 hours prior to delivery, as we may be unable to deliver if you live down a road or driveway that the delivery truck cannot access without causing damage to the truck or surroundings. If we are not made aware of inaccessible roads, pathways, or non-existent access methods in advance, then this could result in a failed delivery charge.
